We use traditional Tamar Valley apple varieties grown on site to make a refreshing, fruity cider with a clean after-taste.
The cider is named after the women who used to work above ground at the mine. They would prepare the ore by smashing it with huge heavy hammers. They wore long protective bonnets and aprons in order to work outside in the elements throughout the year. They would start around the age of 10 and only leave if they married.
